Hi! I’m Zoë
From a young age I always loved drawing up designs, going fabric shopping with my Gran and watching her bring my vision to life with sewing. I lacked enthusiasm for sewing, until 2005, when I started my fashion education at Chesterfield College, later earning a BA(Hons) at Nottingham Trent University. I quickly came to realise that understanding garment construction was fundamental to design. My passion transitioned from aspiring to be a designer to the art of crafting and altering garments, ensuring a flawless fit for each individual.
In 2010, a friend from college and I created ‘Too Many Dresses’ (TMD). Balancing our day jobs, with various sewing projects on our evenings, days off, and weekends. In 2020, when I experienced redundancy. I decided to transform TMD from a side hustle into a blossoming venture. Currently, I divide my time, working part-time as a bridal alterations assistant and spending the rest sewing for my wonderful TMD customers.
